La Universidad del Valle, la Escuela de Ciencias del Lenguaje y la Maestría en Estudios Interlingüísticos e Interculturales se complacen en invitarle a la conferencia pública "Things we know to be true about multilingual education" con la doctora Nancy Hornberger.
Resumen:
Ethnic diversity and inequality, intercultural communication and contact, and global political and economic interdependence are acknowledged realities in today’s world. Multilingual education, too, is a fact of life and though there are a great variety of contexts, models, contents, and developmental trajectories in multilingual education policy and practice, it is possible to discern continuities that characterize successful multilingual education wherever it is found. Dr. Hornberger will discuss ten analytically formulated certainties about multilingual education, illustrated by empirical research.
